These types of urns with ovoid base of ebony or painted black, and globe of blown crystal, appear in France during the Elizabethan epoch (Napoleon III) 1848-1870 and stop being done at the beginning of the 20th century. The woman married was making it to preserve a recollection of his party. On a cushion of red velvet she was placing her wreath of orange blossom.
